A ritual tool, sometimes called a magickal tool or magickal weapon, is the tool of the mage or wizard that allows them to focus their Will during a ritual act.
Some (who do not understand the working of magick) believe that the tool is what holds the magickal power, but it is more likely that the tool is what directs the power that is already within the mage. True, an object can be charged with a psychic force or energy, and this is true for some ritual tools, but that charge originates from the mage themselves.
