A psychic ability is an ability that emanates from the psyche or Soul of a person, and manifests itself through the emotional or mental capacities of oneself. These kinds of abilities are largely seen by society as either non-existant (in the case of science), or a demonic taint (in the case of religion). They usually exhibit themselves in adolescence or puberty, but if not developed, they tend to fade away. Anyone and everyone has psychic abilities, because everyone has a psyche or a soul, but just as with the muscles in the body, they are abilities that cannot be mastered or strengthened if they are not used.
