Orlog is the Old Norse (from or, ur "primal" + log "law") for cycle of fate, or for the unalterable destiny of the world. The Orlog encompasses all things, including the gods. One aspect of Orlog is the "Ragnarok." Orlog is the collective wyrd or karma of the world as a whole, whereas "wyrd" is more individual karma. [1]

The agents of Orlog are the three norns that represent the past (Urd, origin), present (Verdandi, becoming), and future (Skuld, debt). It is the inescapable result of all that has gone before (like karma) and is presently creating the future, whether of universal gods or human beings.[2]
