1 The Magician

I. The Magician (Rider-Waite)

The Magician is the second card of the Major Arcana of the Tarot. It is numbered as the first card of the Tarot. This would be seen as the start of the Fool's journey through the Tarot, as a magician.

Above the Magician's head is a lemniscate, which is a symbol of infinity. On the table in front of the Magician, are the four suits that are also in the Minor Arcana, the magickal ritual tools known as the pentacle, the sword, the cup, and the wand.
