The Church of the Subgenius is an irreligion dedicated the pursuit of "Slack". It was founded by J.R. "Bob" Dobbs, (also known only as "Bob") though it has spread in popularity the 1980's by the efforts of Reverend Ivan Stang.
Beliefs
The Subgenius believes that there are two kinds of people in the human race. There are the Normals, the dupes for the Conspiracy who run the machines, go to work, and basically are a slave race, then there are the Subgenii, who are related to the mythical beings known as Yeti. The SubGenii are "different". They don't "fit in". The Subgenius does not pursue the same goals as the Normal, who looks to be safe and secure in the bosom of the Conspiracy, but to find the mysterious thingness known only as "Slack".
